This week on CrankyGeeks, John C Dvorak brings-wait…John C isn’t on the show this week! Oh noes! Well, Sebastian Rupley, West Coast Editor of PC Magazine is taking the reins this week, and here’s hoping he manages to be as cranky as John does. With him this week are Mark Anderson, CEO, Strategic News Service; Om Malik, Founder, GigaOM.com; and Kevin Rose, Founder, Digg.com, to talk tech and get cranky!

Among the topics of discussion this week are Apple’s “It’s Showtime!” events, including the upcoming iTV and movie downloads from the iTunes Store, the HP “pretexting” scandal, Digg fighting users for control over “Digg,” the fakeness of “Lonelygirl 15,” the longest sentance ever for a software pirate has been handed out, and much much more.

This week on Security Now! Leo and Steve talk all about Virtual PC; and run down the pros and cons of Microsoft’s free emulations software…for windows that is; the Virtual PC that Macintosh users all know is most certainly not free, and in fact Microsoft is no longer making it, with competition from Parallels, Crossover, and of course, Apple’s Boot Camp. This is different, and ties into Steve and Leo’s discussions about virtual machines; Virtual PC is essentially, a virtual machine running windows inside your system, but it has a lot of other features. Tune in to find out what they are and whether or not Virtual PC is worth your time.
