Futures in Biotech // Episode 8

fib logo

A new Futures in Biotech is out(with a new logo!), with host, Marc Pelletier. On this episode, Dr. Drew Endy, Cabot Assistant Professor of Biological Engineering at MIT, joins Marc to discuss his research, primarily the rapidly growing field of synthetic biology. From the episode notes, and according to Dr. Endy:

According to Dr. Endy, “We’re going from looking at the living world as only coming from nature, to a subset of the living world being produced by engineers, who design and build hopefully useful living artifacts according to our specifications”

Sounds interesting to me!

A question for TTVF readers: With the onslaught of new podcasts, TechTV Forever wants to know: Should we continue covering Futures in Biotech? FiB is a great podcast, no doubt, but there are no old TechTV heads working on the show, aside from Leo’s occasional appearance, and the fact that it’s part of the TWiT network. What do you think?
