Infected with Martin Sargent // Episode 50

This is the last Infected there is, that’s it, no more. And on this episode, live from a bar, Martin has the following parting words:

The Good Ship Infected was a proud vessel. It explored the choppy seas of Internet fearlessly, its mighty sails unfurled, catching the ever shifting winds of digital culture so surely, propelling it gracefully through uncharted, often dangerously swirling waters.

We saw many strange lands on our journeys together, and we met some terrifyingly wild folk. And we, its crew, explorers at heart, only wanted to press onward, to see what was beyond the next dark horizon that appeared before us with the setting of each sun. No, we didn’t strive to pillage and plunder the untamed islands of smut and depravity that we discovered, but only to learn from the natives, and in so doing learn more about ourselves.

But alas, we are at journey’s end. We could not weather this final storm, these ferocious currents, this RIPTIDE, and have been dashed upon the rocks of cancellation. The once proud flag that flapped atop our mighty ship’s highest mast is now tattered. But it floats upon the sea. No, it did not go down with the ship. And the sea currents carry in onward, across the diamond-glinted ocean, and it will one day, one day soon, wash ashore and be mended, and shall fly proudly again atop a new and sturdier ship.

When, you ask? When will that glorious day be? When shall we once again set sail? Watch this, the 50th and final voyage of The Good Ship Infected to find out. Thank you, crew. Thank you, Infected army. You are warriors all, and Rickey Kang is proud of you. Remember his words: NEVER STOP FIGHT! And remember mine: Don’t Get Ripped, By The Riptide!

-Internet’s Martin Sargent

::salutes:: Don’t get ripped indeed, Cap’n Martin. Don’t get ripped indeed.
