This week’s Weezy and The Swish makes 52 episodes, 52 full weeks, so one whole year of Weezy and The Swish! Laura is out of town this week, so Weezy is joined by Guy Brannum and a few of his colleagues from G4, Casey Schreiner and Paul Bonanno. The talk obviously turns to video games and what its like to work at G4, some of the panelists favorite TV shows (as well as the wonderful Television Without Pity site), and comedy in general. Absolutely hilarious.

Becky and her crew of EMTs (Emergency Makeover Technicians) are back in action again to bring an awesome hookup to Frank, who is an audiophile (a man after my own heart) with a massive music collection that he’d like to archive, digitize, and easily enjoy both from in his home and outside. The Hook Me Up crew helps Frank bring his stereo system into the 21st century and gives him the tech he needs to properly enjoy his analog and digital music collection while lounging around the house or from abroad on the road.

Additionally, more news about yet another remake of the Kurosawa classic Seven Samurai, yet another Die Hard movie, and of course, the comics news you’ve come to need from the GeekDrome crew; even for folks who don’t normally dig comics. Chris Lee, of LTSPodcast fame [ http://ltspodcast.com/ ] along with Jamie Diamond, Taylor, and Ben May all invited me to join in the weekly discussion at the LTS Podcast, and I happily accepted!
This week’s topics included Adam Sessler’s appearance on last week’s Weezy and The Swish, the TWiT’s vacation over Memorial Day Weekend, the spinoff of MacBreak and This Week in Media into their own little podcast network, Leoville Town Square makes it onto Wikipedia, the new new new Attack of the Show, Webgems downloads go live, and more. I had a great time with the guys on the show, and I’m hoping they’ll have me back again soon.
In the meantime, I’ve been remiss in tracking their podcast here at TechTV Forever, but we’re going to fix that right now. The Leoville Town Square podcast has some very notable episodes and some very notable guests, including the May 28th episode featuring Amber MacArthur, the May 22nd episode featuring Andy Walker, and the February 24th episode featuring the man himself, Leo Laporte!

Another fine episode of MacBreak is up and out and ready to be downloaded. The topic for this episode is all about email encryption, and Leo and Emery sit down to discuss methods to encrypt your messages and protect your mail from prying eyes. MacBreak is also somewhat misrepresented at the TWIT.tv site now-a-days, but the messages have been tracked completely over at the MacBreak website.

This week’s This Week In Media podcast is all about A La Carte video; contrary to what the TWIT.tv website says. This week we’ve noticed that This Week in Media has moved off of the TWIT main page and over to the MacBreak site, which seems to be growing into its own little podcast network, which includes TWiM, MacBreak, and two showsw about the visual effects and creative design industry, The VFX Show and Inside the Black Box.
Regardless, this week’s episode is all about A La Carte cable and the possibility of being able to choose the networks you want to subscribe to, video to order, as well as Microsoft’s announcement of a competing image format to the JPEG, and Canon’s announcement that they’ll be dropping film cameras altogether in favor of digital SLRs.

Leo and Steve discuss the topic of NAT traversal, essentially the method in which your home router manages internet traffic, filters out back packets and helps protect you, and the trouble that NAT routers present to peer-to-peer networks, and how third party servers can help routers get packets to each other. If you have a router at home and would like to know more about how it works, or if you’re thinking about purchasing one, this is the episode for you.

We’re a little late on this, but better late than never, and this is definitely a video cast that you don’t want to miss. Becky Worley’s back on the tech scene with Hook Me Up, which is being produced by Yahoo!
