Revision3 Gets A Makeover, and Adds Podcasts!

rev3 logo

The Revision3 website, located at [ http://www.revision3.com/ ] is sporting a whole new look, more applicable to the whole “network” feel that they’re going for. The site is much more attractive, and has nice thumbnails of each show right next to the show name, title, and the show notes for each show are still right on the front page. Additionally, on the right are “favorites,” or Revision3’s most popular podcasts, right there for quick viewing. The new site is pretty swanky, check out the screenshot below: (click the link for a larger view)

revision 3 screen small

Looks good, eh? In addition to the makeover for the site, the Revision3 crew have added a bunch of new podcasts and revived a bunch of old ones, for example, thebroken is back with a vengance and a whole new episode after several years of being MIA, InDigital is back with new hosts Jessica Corbin and Wil Wheaton, and some new podcasts debuted, including a new Martin Sargent venture called Web Drifter, and a few podcasts that look interesting but aren’t Tech or TechTV related, like Mysteries of Science Explained and NotMTV, both of which expand the Revision3 network out of the traditional tech mold and into other interest areas. Looking good guys!

Well, the Revision3 network has picked him up to do a show all about digital image manipulation and editing, called Pixel Perfect! New Podcast! :: Web Drifter // Episode 1

A new podcast has made an appearance on the Revision3 network, called Web Drifter, featuring Martin Sargent doing what he does best; being hilarious and talking to people about technology except not really. Martin Sargent says in the episode notes (half divulging what the new podcast is going to be about) the following:

If I’m going to go behind the tens of thousands of intriguing, outrageous and in many cases terrifying websites on my favorites bar, I’m going to have to live a very long time. Perhaps forever.

So he then leads on to the fact that his first guest for the first episode of Web Drifter is going to be Alex Chiu, the guy who claims to be selling bracelets that allow you to live forever! I have no idea how much money he’s making off of this, but he’s had Martin Sargent as a believer since the Unscrewed days, and now he gets to sit down with him face to face. And it makes for a fitting beginning to what we think will be an excellent podcast.

GeekDrome // Episode 44

geekdrome logo

This week on GeekDrome, the crew takes a look at Black Dahlia and Feast, and check out the trailer for Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto, and wonder who he tries to make us hate this time. Also, Wil Farell’s getting a TV series on HBO, Brad Pitt replacing Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: 4, and much much more, including comic book news and video game news!

A question for TTVF readers: With the onslaught of new podcasts, TechTV Forever wants to know: Should we continue covering Geekdrome? GeekDrome is a great podcast, no doubt, but there are no old TechTV heads working on the show, aside from the fact that it’s part of the Revision3 network. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
